Scheduled Scripts
Scheduled scripts are similar in concept and use to scheduled queries. Like scheduled queries, scheduled scripts are those scripts that have a specific time and duration in which they are run. Once you have created the script, you will use the Schedule Orbital Script function to set the script’s duration and frequency Duration is how long the script will be active for and frequency is how many times the script will be executed within that script’s duration. These scripts can be run across one or across many to very many endpoints, any of which, at any given moment, can be taken offline.
Note: | The Orbital node, installed on each endpoint, is the device that polls into the Orbital Service at predefined intervals, and/or when the node is returned on line. |

Scheduled Script Behavior
The scheduling of running scripts against the targeted Orbital nodes is identical to that of scheduling queries to run. Refer to the Scheduled Query Behavior section of the Scheduled Queries topic for a detailed description of how the Orbital scheduler works.
